Alright, lets get started with some of these prospecting tips for Network Marketers. Lets start this by saying that prospecting people into your Network Marketing business doesn't have to be complicated. It's all about human connection.
After all you've heard the say “People join people, not companies.”, so the fact of the matter is that people connect well with others if can relate in one way or another with such person, which brings me to the very first of the prospecting tips for Network Marketers that is:
Don't Be Weird:
That's the first one of them all and to be honest with you I think is the most important one too. Again, lets go back and read this “People join people, not companies.”, which pretty much summarizes this prospecting tip. Be yourself, don't try to be someone that you are not.
Share your opportunity:
What I mean by this is that you should share your opportunity with people and not try to sell it. Meaning instead of going with the “I need to get a sell” mentality, just go with, “Let me share this with people” mentality. People don't like to be sold to.
Instead of just pitch your opportunity with people try to see where they are struggling in their lives. For example, you could ask “How do you like working at this job?” most people hate their jobs and will usually answer with a “It's a job.” “It's okay.” or “It could be better”, there you can simply tell them this “I remember when I had a job as well, I hate it and that's why I do what I do now.” There, you have already caught their attention and most people will ask “What do you do.” This is where you have to posture yourself and say something in the lines of “I'm in a little bit of a rush right now, but if you give me your name and email/number I would be glad to share it you.” That's it.
Go for NO:
When I first started in the home business industry, my sponsor suggested me to read the book called “Go For NO”, which if you haven't read it I highly encourage you do do so. You can get a copy of the Go For NO book here. Basically what I mean with “Go for NO” is that you need to realize that you will encounter more “NOs” than “Yes” when prospecting people. Do NOT become addicted to the outcome. Simply ask for the prospect information. If they say yes, you follow up with them. If they say no, move on to the next.
